• Evaluation Capacity Building

You can do evaluation! We can help.

MWA Insights offers single day and multi-day evaluation capacity building workshops. These practical, engaging, and hands-on workshops provide participants with the skills to design and carry out impactful evaluation projects. Through activities like evaluating chocolate chip cookies and categorizing candy, crafting logic models for personal and professional projects, designing surveys, conducting visitor observations, and analyzing real data, participants gain practical experience in evaluation planning, methods, data collection, and visualization. The multi-day version takes teams of participants through the process of implementing their own pilot evaluation study, concluding with a reporting session where teams present their findings and recommendations.

    Workshop topics include:

    • Types of evaluation
    • Logic models
    • Developing an evaluation purpose statement and evaluation questions
    • Evaluation methods
    • Instrument design
    • Data collection
    • Data analysis & visualization
    • Reporting

    What participants are saying:

"This workshop demistified evaluation for me.

We just launched a survey at our museum and I wish we had waited until this workshop!

It clarified a lot of things, especially how

evaluation can and should work as part of the lifecycle of a project."

"The balance between the presentation of

concepts and applying what we are learning

was excellent! I found the hands-on format

    really beneficial."
